I have completed the first WU and the log said that everything was sent ok, another WU has been started BUT, I can not see anything in user or team stats. Does it take time to post?

Yep, the client has to tell the server you're there, folding. IIRC it conatcts the server each 6 hours.

It usually takes the stanford servers an hour or more to process it. Please post the contents of your fah log, provided it contains this work unit's info.

Cool

Postby dougsherwood1320 » Thu Nov 06, 2003 12:29 am

This is pretty cool. Haven't had any problems or seen any slow downs. Does memory size and speed make any dif? I currently have 512m 2700, waiting for $ to upgrade to faster and maybe more.
I am almost at 50% of my second wu. Still waiting on Intel for the dual Itanium2. Have two other machines nearly ready for folding.
When I build systems for my customers, I like to burn them in for 48hrs and folding might be a good thing to run during this time. Any problems using systems for short term?

It's a good way to burn in systems. It will certainly tell you if the system is stable or not. There's no problem folding on a short term basis, ecept you'll want to let it finish the WU that's running before you stop it.

It's an excellent method of burn in. Just leave the rig running 24/7 for a week folding, and at the end, if it's still standing, it's stable.
