so the issue has been resolved (appears to have been)? yeah there was a major assignment server (AS- top three on server status page) meltdown, and the *110 one was down as well. they put a backup server online a couple hours later sunday, and gromacs were back for distribution. when the gromacs AS went down, all that was available was tinkers, and GAH wu's. as i have an FAH pref in advanced options config, i obviously received a tinker wu. i currently have it set to ask before send, and will upload the tinker, and do a deletion of the fahcore_65, and some other files, and redo the config.

@ Len: Do you believe that this may have been the cause of the lack of tinkers for Linux?

@Dave: You did manage to upload them right?

yeah i was able to... as soon as i saw the server back on line i quickly sent them up. (the ones i knew about anyway) before it crashed again. i'm really not sure if they all got uploaded or not those as i didn't have time to check all the clients. time consuming. hope for the best! big grin

shortage of gromacs per a previous thread is a different issue. this was due to them taking the *111 ip address server offline for whatever reason. the current weekend (past actually) was an assignment server that coordinates w/ the different ip address units. this server must have been specific to gromacs wu's, as there were only tinker, and GAH wu's available. the backup AS server was brought online sunday, until they were able to get to fix things on monday (today). in addition, the *110 server was down, which default_dave was more trying to send the completed wu's back to.
