Slot1 i440BX Baby-AT Upgrade from PII to PIII

Postby chikhray » Sat May 18, 2002 8:02 am

I would like to upgrade my Slot1 i440BX Baby-AT PC from PII (400MHz, 512K L2, 128M RAM) to PIII, if it is possible.
My BIOS details:
ID: 2A 69KSMHC
DATE:02/04/1999
Signon:02/04/1999-i440BX-ITE-2A69KSMHC-00
BIOS Type: AWARD Modular BIOS v.4.51PG
Super. I/O: ITE 8673 rev.1 found at port 279h
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev.2
OEM Signon:6BB VER:A.1

Who is the manufacturer of my motherboard?
or what type it is most similar to?

Is my motherboard good enough for such upgrade?
What I need to change? What kind of CPU will be suitable?
Thanks in advance...

Superpower/San-Li/Hope Vision 6BB.

Currently trying to find info. The manufacturer has ceased to exist.

The Soyo SY-6BB has the bios string 01/20/1999-i440BX-ITE867-2A69KS2GC-00 which tells us that it probably uses the same I/O chip at least.
