What does this flag do? I read about it at the F@H site but dont have a clue what it means. I've heard others talking about using it with 9 in place of x for a setting but no explaination of what it does.

Can anyone explain it for me in simple english?

ok, after some more reading I think I understand it.
Is it safe to say that it only affects what is put into the log file? It just gives more information of what is happening on a higher setting then on a lower setting?

default is -verbosity 3 (w/ o specifying anything), and yes, verbosity 9 (max setting) gives more info. this can be helpful for enhanced info output. a logfile is generated, and the verbosity x where x=9 will put more info in the logfile. can be helpful for trouble shooting, and good for the user as well (better knowledge of the processes occurring). the console version will show the extra output right in the console. the logfile looks like the console version output.

what version are you running?

3.25 beta

I was thinking that is what it did. When i first came across it, I couldnt figure out for sure what it meant, but after more and more reading I was figuring that it affected the log file. I set mine to 9 just to see the differences.

i can assume that it's 3.25 beta graphical, as your only referencing the logfile where the extra info will be shown?
