I have actually been considering going back through all the old cases seeing what we can solve. Thought it would be a lengthly job.

Mate that is an understatement if ever there was. Just keeping up with current cases is a near impossible task for one person on a continuous basis (believe me, I tried it).

If the workload was shared between moderators, and anybody else that wants to chip in, maybe we would be able to make some progress on the huge list of unsolved cases.

Well I have been doing the cases for the past few months, every night...

But every so often, Google shows me a case that is unsolved. And has been unsolved for a very long time. For some reason I am able to solve it now, so I just add it in

79G3325, Cougar 2, made by Alaris for IBM. But can't find info

Also, a lot of cases got all the info added, but were never declared solved.

This is an Edom/Wintac MP058, link to a manual and bios strings are added, what more could you want?

Hey Evasive,
I was just going to ask what the deal was with the unsolved cases being listed unsolved when in fact they are solved :?
I would think that the "hardcore" fourum participants would have enough sense to check the box that says "check this box if you feel you have solved the case" or something like that.

The check box does not close them automatically. They have to be reviewed and then closed.
