I mean, on the average work day, what do you do? I'm very curious. I am assuming you all work within the same building. Not sure why, I've just recieved that impression in my days on the board. You may be free lance assasin's that impersonate school kids for all I don't know So go ahead and tell your stories at will. I'd be much abliged Tie in the forums if they're not related to your dough maker.
PS
I was interested in what atang1 does because of his vast knowledge, but then I was affraid of being interrogated with his endless questions...I mean statements?

Tolemac is a professional stander/watcher. He stands around all day watching people. And looks serious doing it.
HJ snorts thermal paste and hangs up on people inbetween the drops. _________________ Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted - Albert Einstien |

MoboCop is not far off about mine. I am a Pit Boss and Dice Dealer at a casino in Las Vegas. So yes, I stand and watch people all day long to make sure there's nothing funny going on. BTW, I'm damn serious about it too.
I am fortunate in that the casino has 3 T1 computers in the dealers lounge so I can get up here and answer posts while at work. That's where I'm at right now, in fact. 11am to 7pm 5 days a week and once I get home, it's back up on the net and doing the serious digging to get the answers to your problems. Up till about 3 or 4am and then do it again. Yes, I have a life, but this is a big part of it, and I have a lot of fun doing it. _________________ The Gift of Healing

How interesting. What led you to working in a casino? And how's the cost of living there? A distant relative's parents(they were in their mid 70's) once worked at casinos there and lived in a nice mobilesque home/neighborhood.
.... Where's HJ?? |

Nice one Codeboy. Go back into your closet with the dust bunnies
A normal day for me includes getting up sometime before 3PM...get my ass to work around 4...and then I sit and listen to people pratel on about thier problems and eventually make people QR thier systems. In between and during and when ever else I can fit it in, I constantly reload the forum and post the instant someone else does.
This board is the only thing that keep me sane at work. _________________ "Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality." -Jules de Gautier

Been working in the Casino biz since '95. I have always enjoyed gambling, and being in the atmosphere of the casino can be very exhilarating. Decided to learn about the biz from the inside so as to help me in my gambling pursuits, and there you go.
Cost of living is pretty good actually, but you had better like hot weather and alot of it as that's what you're gonna get here!! Let's put it this way, it's 8:20PM and it's still 94*F outside!
House prices are very cheap considering and rents are ok but starting to go up. Tons of mobil home parks.
datektrader21, no, I don't get to participate in any of the "Desert Justice" that is meted out to the fraudulent. Nowadays, people are just thrown in jail, their names and faces are put into a special book, and they are either fined some amount of money and/or some prison time, and then they're invited to never show their face in this town again. It ain't like it used to be! In many respects, it was alot better when the Mob ran things. Corporations don't know anything about running a casino. _________________ The Gift of Healing

Well, you know how it is. I think of temps in terms of Centigrade, so that's what I wrote. I have edited to reflect actual temps. _________________ The Gift of Healing
