Hello,

The video chipset on the motherboard is covered by a glued on "Heat Sink" I'm seeking info on a program to identify the chip.

I've been told/suggested that a hair dryer might loosen the glue and alow the heat sink to be removed.

Is their a another way with software to (id) it?

Thank you

If we can identify the board we can tell you the video chipset used.

Please describe the board fully or provide a bios string so that the board can be identified.

So, to answer the posters question the board uses an SIS 5598 video chip.

Drivers available here:-
