I know I cant be the only one asking about this. I have found several sites that charge money for legacy drivers, but none that give them away, (I'm sure theres got to be one somewhere.)
In my case I have several Diamond Multimedia cards, and others that are useless unless I can find drivers.
Is it possible to put up a board for "Requested Drivers ONLY"? This way the post will stay up for several days allowing more people to see it and maybe they can send the info to the person requesting the driver.
Of course MB.org will not be held liable for anything. In a separate sticky you could advise on how to attempt to find the drivers on the web and only request a driver when all else fails. |

No need for a seperate forum area for this....Driver, etc are already covered in the current forum areas....
We are archiving what we can between personal "offline archives", The Mobokive, as well as here..... _________________ We Help You. You Can Help Us!

I must be missing something Toby. I know I can post in the Tech board and ask if anyone has a driver for a Diamond Multimedia Speedstar II S220 PCI video card, but within 8 hours the post will be pages back and few if any will see it.
What I was trying to suggest was a forum where the users can swap drivers, which really isnt Tech help.
The Drivers download on the Home page is a good start, but doesnt have a place where I can submit a request for a driver, and I maybe wrong, but I cant submit a driver (I have) to the list.
This isnt a big issue with most people because few of us build Legacy systems. In my case I have several boxes filled with 8-16 MB video cards where the drivers are no longer found on the OEM site.
It was a selfish request
See ya Buddy |
