.......and high schoolers are stupid. What do you get when you mix Hollywood with your average 16 year old? $3,800 worth of damage to my car, that's what.
Ever since they came out with the damn movie, every kid around here has to have one of those Fast and the Furious Mitsubishi wannabee ricemobiles. I was simply going to the store for some groceries on a Friday night (I should have known better), when I came across a group of kids dragging the streets as usual. They were racing from one light to the next (of course, what else would they be doing?). Well, one of the little geniuses thought they could cut in between me and the other guy before they got to the light. Wrong. Tore a nice chunk off the left front of my car.
Any parent that lets their kid fix up a car like that should be shot. I can hear the kid explaining his purchases to his parents now, "Sure Mom, that chrome-plated supercharger is just for looks."
Teenagers can barely control their hormones, much less 2 tons of supercharged death on wheels. _________________

That's all I ever hear around here. When they take off from a redlight, their car sounds like a pissed off bumblebee. _________________

That's why I used to put my 1970 GTO against any of those punks any day. They haven't got a clue how to drive, and what to do when.
All balls, and no brains. Yes, the parents ought to understand what exactly Little Johnny needs the Ricer for.
Back in the day, the saying was "If it don't 'run', chrome it." Now, they have to have the looks and the power. Too bad they don't know how to use it properly.
dharbert, did you get the punks info? I hope the insurance knocks him about. _________________

Hey now, as a teenager (17), I feel that my 1991 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon is great. Completly stock (besides a 12 disc player...i needed more than just tapes to play...), suits me great, couldnt street race it even if I wanted to...
I hope the kid that hit you gets his. It makes me mad thinking about how the actions of a few (in my opinion) ruin it for alot. I send my sympathies to you and your car and hope things turn out well. |

While I wasn't hurt, my car did not fare as well. The kid that hit me came to a screeching halt when his 1" thick low profile rear tire came off the rim. I called the cops from my cell and kept myself from beating his a$$ before they got there. I have full coverage insurance and since it was the little punks fault, hopefully my rate won't go up. I hope his parents enjoy the nice new premium they are going to have to pay on his though. _________________

Oh, great. They just released 2 Fast 2 Furious. I think I'll stay off the streets for a while. _________________
