Of course it could also mean that the processor is fried (or baked).

Or that the processor is not correctly inserted or that the bios is dead or that a jumper is incorrectly set or that the power supply is crook or the video card for that matter or maybe it's something entirely different.

That's why troubleshooting computers is so much fun.

That is only one reason for not getting beep code/error message....There are MANY more reasons.

Thanks! This is great info. Now only if I had seen it before I spent hours troubleshooting an AWARD board which wouldn't stop beeping. It was a RAM problem, which I found out by putting in different RAM.
