how much more frustration can you handle before kicking your dial-up modem through the entire room and down two stairs?

i quite like the challenges that i get out of this spend endless hours doin this and that trying to solve the problems so dial up doesn't bother me as much as the extra cost of broad band and from what i gather the more subscribers to the service means the greater the ratio so ten times faster now could be only twice as fast if the uptake is increased five fold ?

I don't know how you Brits have your DSL wired, but here in the US, if you have DSL, YOU are the only one on that line. Hence Digital Subcriber Line. Now if it's cable you're talking about, then yes, the more people on the line (and watching cable tv!!) the less bandwith.

I would recommend that you give AOHell the boot and go with another provider. My ex-wife used to work tech support for those nazi bastards, and you really don't want to know just how bad they are! 8O
