Intel board -they dont know who mfd it!

Intel board with PAL (platform architecture lab) on component side.
Ident PBA 668140-202 s/n N03240782
PCIset SB82441FX and 442FX

Solder side of board
PB 655573-002
PII-MP 94v-0
01-98 I

I have phoned Intel support and they have no record of this identification number in their database!
From the picture on their site it is NOT a PD440FX.

Board has 3xISA , 4xPCI, 4x 72pin Simm, 1x mothercard FRU76H 1815 D/C: 97515.

I think you got yourself a server board. Will check my archives on this one...

One thing, is this a socket 8 (pentium Pro) or Slot 1 (Pentium II) board and how many processor can you fit?

And I am going to need a picture for the layout. Getting absolutely zilch in my PBA/AA lists...

Check the mainboard top surface for any stickers and FRU numbers...

Are you absolutely positive that the PD440FX doesn't match your board, the description certainly fits although I'm not quite sure what you mean by 1x mothercard.

Board is a Pentium II (only one processor).

Similar to PD440FX but battery in middle of board and configuration jumpers are orientated North-South and have designation J9D1 (not J9-C/A, C/B,C/C as for PD440FX)

The mothercard I refer to may not be the correct terminology but it is a card mounted near the processor slot which has INPUT 5VDC on top, made by VXI electronics.

The Bios chip is a PLLC next to the Serial Number its a TI 20R4-5CFN, so not much help there I'm afraid.

Thank you all for your replies so far.

his mothercard = voltage regulator module. At least that is what the IBM FRU part number points at.

I know there is a BN440FX (Boston) but I have zero information on that apart from the bios string...

It's used in the Compaq Presario 4834, early models. Still looking for info from Compaq.
