Which Cooler?

Postby Whipman » Sat Mar 11, 2006 8:57 pm

Hey fella's it's been a while. I want to pick up the best heatsink / fan combo for my 64 4000+ 939 and would like a few suggestions. I just bought a new Thermaltake Armor and am gonna be swapping the guts so I might as well add a few goodies too. I'm looking at the Zalman's (9500,7700,7000b) and just wanted some opinions. Noise is not really an issue for me, looks and performance are. I'm currently running 10% oc with the stock hs&f (35 idle 40-45 gaming ) and haven't had any problems but I'd like to go a little further. Thanks in advance for any replies............

If you are out for looks, I'd go with the 9500, it performs pretty good and looks even better.......... 8)

I'm using a thermaltake Armour case myself and have this:

On my 64 x2 4800+ overclocked to 2.7GHZ. Runs around 51'C with both cores under full load.

I am using a TT Big Typhoon and I personally think it is one of the best Air Coolers out right now
