I am going to take out the 2 3.5" bay covers completely. I am going to put some wire mesh in there place. Then mount a fan behind it to use with the duct. What do you guys think?

I once did a similar thing but using two 5.25" bays, I made a cardboard duct that fed in with a tight seal to the two 60mm fans on my heatsink. I was getting CPU temps lower than case temperatures, on a PIII650@910Mhz!

If you have a spare 80mm case fan that you can take a duct from to your CPU then that is much easier, and what I do on my current PC.

I use an artic cooling solution on my GPU which exhausts the heated air out of the case thereby reducing case temperatues.

I would love to get one of those arctic cooling fans, but there is no application for my video card. I have a fx6600gt agp card.

Thats exactly right.

If it does, that's really neat-o. :D

Isn't it just ;)

The one I have is very old and a bit different to the current crop, works very well though and is quiet.

Since you want to use winter temps, why don't you get some dryer ducting and run it to an outside window, then connect it to an intake fan on your case. Then run the exhaust back out the same way. Block off the rest of the window opening with some cardboard or similar. You'd then use the cold outside air as the starting temp in the case!

Problem with that is you are likely to get condensation forming inside the case.
