i just got my Big Typhoon and AS5. well first i lapped my heatsink to get it flatter and smoother witha lapping kit from www.easypckits.com i dont have any pics because i dont have a camera. but i got almost a mirror finish except this one area in the middle the size of a dime. i will have to redo the whole process the get that part because it was so unflat. just put on AS5 so i wont have good temps for about 200 hours. and finally this 120mm fan sux its a silent fan (16db) only pushing 50cfm. once i get a camera ill upload pics.

What type of surface are you using to lap the heatsink?

Yeah, for $13 it's not too bad. Costs about $20 to pick all that up from Home Depot.
