Measure for fans

Postby Jungle Jim » Wed Aug 31, 2005 9:12 am

Hope this hasn't been asked before but couldn't find thru searching topics.
I have a generic case with spot for two (2) case fans. I need them filled with fans. How do I measure to buy the right size? Do I measure from middle of screw hole side to side, corner to corner ???????
There are so many sizings of fans to choose from I would rather not have to send'em back because I measured wrong.
Thanks

"most" (and i say that lightly) generic cases use 80mm fans...some will use 120mm, but not many.

my guess would be an 80mm, but...

the measurement should be from edge to edge (looking at the mounting holes).

Roach has it dead on :). Also make sure that fans at the back are blowing outward and ones upfront are blowing inward.
