Is there a free tool to monitor your system's temps (CPU, hardrive, ...etc) for an intel system?

Absolutely!
Go to Motherboard Monitor and download the free program MBM 5.1.0.7
This is one of the best monitors available, and it will give you CPU, Motherboard, and other sensor temps, plus fan speeds, voltages, etc.
