Postby tetsuo » Thu Jul 11, 2002 12:55 pm

i own a sparkle gforce 3 ti200 128meg and im considering overclocking it and i have some questions.

1)how high can i push it without additional cooling?
2)if i add a thermaltake crystal orb how high can i push it?
3)how easy is it to remove and replace stock cooling?
4)i score 6660 on 3dmark se,if i OC this card a REASONABLE amount how much will my score improve?

you can push this card until you get artifacts, and/or the computer crashes while doing a 3D work such as games, etc. once it starts crashing, then yes you will have to provide additional cooling in order to get it higher. stock cooling should be pretty easy to replace, it should just be either screwed into the board, or using pins, just driven into the board. just pop out the pins/unscrew it, and there you go! it comes off. then install the new one.

can't really answer question 2 or 4, however. my guess on 4 is that 200. then again, depends how high you clock it. you might be able to break 7000.

My Video Card Experiences...first look at my 3DMark2001 SE score in my sig...compare that score...O/C'ed with PowerStrip...no cooling whatsoever...to my first score...2328...therefore I went up about 800 with no cooling
