Arctic Silver III and P4

Postby jgalenb » Sun Jun 23, 2002 10:21 am

Hi There. Thanks to all the great information and advice I've gotten from this bb, I'm taking a crack at building my new system. I'm a little stumped right off the bat, and was wondering if someone could help me out. I'm installing a Volcano 7+ on the P4, using Arctic Silver III. The P4 is covered completely by the Integrated Heat Spreader - not just over the core. Do coat the entire surface?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, with the P4's you have to cover the area that the heatsink will be sitting on, and that means the whole heat spreader. Just a paper thin layer will do the trick. Let us know how it goes. 8)
