Technically yes it's possible, but you'll need to first look at the mic/headphone/usb board to see if it's on a header. Then, you'll have to find a standard cable for it (which is a pest w/o the case that has it) or a stranded one. At least that way your wiring is labelled. Otherwise, you'll have to run a few different coloured wires and remember them.

Probably why I girlily used floral tape to wrap my wires. Comes in all colors, i can bundle them at parts and let them split again, etc. And when I get a new part or something and need to redo parts I can remove and redo without much fuss. (and little residue)
