Looks geat! You took the LCD panel off of a PS1 or did it come separately?

Thanks for the kind words :P

If your case has three floppy bays those screens fit perfectly behind, but I mounted mine where it is because of the blue square.

Wrong side of the pond unfortunately, but he's way out of my league anyway!

Why thank-you!

It came seperately. You can get them at most indie game shops.

My kit idea was to get a piece of clear or colour plastic and bend it back a bit over 90 degrees and mount the screen with a composite/vga connection. But after my trouble with VGA it would probably just be composite. A little like this paint mock-up below...

WOW! Rob that is a FANTASTIC mod, definitely pat yourself on the back for that :D And you still have a drive bay free for your optical drive ;)

Does it generate much heat? IE: did you need to install additional cooling to offset the new heat source?

It gets warm but not too hot. no need for extra cooling but the 120mm blow hole will reduce my temps

I always wanted to put a LCD like that on my case when I used my Lain-Li, but never got around to it.

Good job on your install though.

I may try to cut one into my UFO case if I ever get up off of my lazy butt............... 8O

WOAH!! Talk about bringing a thread back! It's not an Aspire (I wish it was!) It's a Jeantech Imax.

I never use the screen now! I have to plug it into the mains and then the graphics card doesn't auto-detect it, it's too much work to start her up basically!

I've moved onto the car now. Expect an update by the end of the week
