Cathode light question

Postby lshawelu » Thu Jan 09, 2003 2:01 pm

I'm starting to dabble a bit with case modding and was wondering if there are and cathode light models out there that turn on automatically when the pc is turned on. Most of the ones i've seen require a switch of some sort. Thanks in advance for any input.

If the switch is in the on position it should turn on with the computer. If not you can always cut the switch off and hook the wires back together, that way there's nothing to interrupt the current. I warn you, though, if you do that you're going to get sick of that light real quick.

You can buy them with, or without a switch installed.

I agree with Psyte, you will want a switch somewhere.

usually, when you leave the switch on, the cathode turns on and off with the PC no? Usually, the switch is there for those times when you don't want it on... or if you've got a fer different coloured ones. Currently, my neons do this - they turn on and off with the PC.

Get an 8 inch cathode kit from these guys. Everything you need with a switch already wired for you is there.
Great service from this company as well.
As they have been sayin, you WILL WANT that switch.
Trust me I know. I only turn my light on at the LAN Parties
