Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right place but i'm building a new system but can't seem to find a motherboard to match my requirements. Partly because Im looking to allow future modifications too. I was hoping someone could recommend one that meet all the criteria so here is what the system will have.

Intel Core i5 2.66ghz processor (with possible upgrade to i7 3.3ghz)

4Gb DDR3 (1066mhz or 1333mhz with possible upgrade to 8Gb)

Nvidia GTX 280 (and may want to install a second to run in SLI so need 2x PCIe x16)

2 x 1.5 tb sata hard drives. (with a possible 3rd)

Zalman CNPS 9900 cpu fan

1x Bluray Player

1x DVD re-writer

I wont be doing any overclocking but was thinking of installing a fan controller but since no OC this might not be required. Also will be doing some LED'ing

Any and all help greatly appreciated

you can try and tune that down a bit by being more specific. budget for instance.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Just a final ( i hoped quick question ) I found a board I like the look of but on the PCI Express details it says

PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (x16 x4)

So is that saying If i run a single card it'll be at x16 but if i run two in SLI itll only be x4 on each card? Cos id like to run two in SLI or Xfire (depending on if I go for the nvidia cards) but i want them both running at x16

thanks again

If you get the H55/P55 chipset board, you have 2 slots with x8:

I am wondering if there are still any boards out there that do have 2 x16 slots at full speed. Next question, do you actually need 2 x16 full speed slots, are there any cards out there that can produce that much bandwidth?
