Best bang for your buck AMD fans

Any thoughts on what the best, most effective cooling fan is for the higher end Athlon XP cpu's? I'd go liquid cooling if I could afford it, and probably will after a while, but for right now I just need to know what the best fan is. I've heard a couple good things about the Dragon Orb 3, but nothing about anything else. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since you don't have exprience, don't read the old posts which recommands the largest coolers.

The new AMD cpus are not very current(amperage) consuming; if you do not overclock, some of the cheap Chinese coolers(coolies) work fine. Go to Compusa and look into those clear plastic windowed computer cases and see what they have for coolers?

If you do overclock them, you have to expect some serious heat problems(Thermal runaways even, says Bert Laur, the cowardly lion of the wizzard of OZ fame), because the way AMD tests their cpus is by the thermal temperature tolerences.

On the other hand, we recommand "not to hot, not too cool" coolers for overclocking with core voltage change downwards. Is it three little bears ate their porridge then they can go to sleep story?

Good luck.
