I recently put a fan on the side of my computer (cut the case and put in a fan) but there is a rather serious problem. Dust!

There is a whole lot of dust getting in. I have to clean my computer's insides every week. I am scared

What do I do?

Someone recommended air conditioning filters, will these do the trick?

At the cost of a little airflow you should put a thin piece of foam on the exterior of the intake fan. This should be under the fan grill, if you have one. This foam filter would be easy to cut into size and should be easy to clean.

The other option is to keep the fan out of a dust prone environment. This may involve actual house cleaning, however... :o :)

Fan filters are a good way to keep the dust out. You can even get them in multiple colors if you have a color theme to your computer.

Check this site out:http:

There are other sites (most of them are cheaper) but this is a good start

Cheers
