Number of posts per page

Post by shimonmor »

It would be nice if we could increase the number of posts per page that we can view. I hate switching pages after 10 posts. I would like to see up to 50 posts per page. If this already exists I can't fint it. Thanks!

Actually, it would be even better if this option was configurable in our profiles, because if you make it more by default it makes pages load extremely slow for dial-up users. Believe me, I was there once.

Yes, that was actually was my intent...to have it as a user configuration in your profile. I spend time on a number of different forums and it's great when you can have a little control over how you view your posts. I really like UBB.threads 6.3 although I am by no means an expert on forum software.

The number of posts/threads per page is something that MoboCop has to change. If this idea becomes popular maybe he will do so......

as far as the user being able to configure it how they want (i.e. on a individual basis), that currently is not an option with the phpBB software, unless a "mod" is installed (which I dont even know if one exists at this point). This option might be availible with the phpBB 2.2 software, but I am not certain.
