8800gts 640mb

Postby iamwhoiamtoday » Sun Mar 25, 2007 8:45 pm

I went and installed ATI tools, just to see the Temps of my 8800gts 640mb. When I looked at the clocks, I noticed something fairly weird. The card is rated for 500mhz / 1600mhz However, instead of finding the expected 500/800, I found this: 513/792
Is this normal? Should I underclock the gpu while upping the memory? or is it fine as is?
People who have gone through Starfleet academy should be taught how to fix everything. Even a Roman aqueduct.

The 8800 GTS Video cards are clocked at 513/792 on all 8800gts cards. I have yet to find a reason but all the information I read, thats the clock speeds at stock for the 8800gts. Though is capable of going ALOT higher

The 8800gts is supposed to be a great overclocker, if you search up 8800 gts overclocking. People get extremely high speeds.

So everything is fine with your video card, if you wish to make the speeds go a lot higher which they can just look up overclocking for 8800gts, and you'll find a lot of information.
