new build

okie doke, got it running....
AMD Opteron 165 @ 2.4 {270FSB}
Asus A8N SLI premium
2gb Corsair XMS 2.5 3 3 6
leadtek 7900GS htd
2x SATA 3gbs 160gb, striped
dvd burner
Thermaltake tower
Thermaltake CPU cooler
Thermaltake 500watt dual 12v rail @ 18amps

so far i am extremely happy with the build. basically i got a new mobo, graphics card, memory and hard drives. i had everything else.
the CPU overclocks better i think as i can get it at 290fsb but that is close to the top. better than the other Asus board i had.
as for the video card, i am reeeeeeeealy pleased.
stock:
450 core
1.25ghz mem

OCed:
580 core
1.85 mem.

cooling:
i have my cooling tweaked to the extreme. everything is on air. i have cool air channeled to the CPU, the memory, the drives and most importantly, the video card. my system temp is now higher than my CPU temp. got to be the video card.
temps:
system: 36 c/ 96 f
CPU: 34c / 93f

my thoughts:
i think i need to flash the graphic card BIOS. i can see the masked PixelPipes and the shaderpipe, but i cant unlock them like i could on my 6800gs. the driver i am using is reported as "unsupported". i will look into this and report back.

AJ
