cool with an update of my video drivers my score went up to 4100 im gonna check for via updates and see what that does... well after updating my via drivers and uping my FSB to 139X10.5 i have a score of 4300 now im gonna steal peters unlocking kit and get my cpu up to an xp2000 and maybe beyond. im using pcmark not 3dmark so is that making a difference? i think i will also overclock my video card.

if ur gonna O/C the vid card, get PowerStrip I went from 2328 on 3DMark2001 SE to 3011 without the use of a heatsink or fan on it...now my video card speeds are...

Engine- 186.13MHz
Memory- 177.95MHz

Of course I only use that setting when I play games...I don't want to blow out the card

OC my Athlon XP :-)

Postby jay.elle » Fri Jun 28, 2002 3:13 am

When I first ran 3DMARK 2001 on my system, un-tweaked - i got a reasonable score of 8988. This was mad considering that I had only been using the standard settings, then sum1 mentioned RIVA Tuner which could OC the card ( a gorgeous Ti4600 ). I tweaked it from its standard 650Mhz Memory speed to a whoppin 730 Mhz, plus the core clock of 300Mhz tweaked to 325Mhz, my new result was a whopping 10,666 !!! I mean talk about an evil score, the devil would be so proud...

Now I can play CS and SOF II at resolutions that I'd only dreamed of a couple of months ago...

The case helps as well, a gorgeous LIAN-Li with enough fans to cool the entire Glastonbury crowd during a Prodigy performance... lol

Tell me what u think...

Aw too bad I lost it, huh %$@#%. Yeah right, I don't think you could overclock that thing more than a hundred megahertz before you start overheating. And you will waste 15 bucks on a tracer pen.

Of course I only use that setting when I play games...I don't want to blow out the card

It would get hotter when you play games, so why not just get more cooling  Well, that's at least if your card got hot enough. An MX 400 is an extremely weak overclocker and probably wouldn't produce much more heat..

and only one of your links work
