Overclock P4S533 Asus

Postby keno1929 » Tue Jun 25, 2002 6:33 am

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to best overclock this board?

Specs:
P4S533
512 Samsung PC2700 RAM
1.8 northwood

I think that is all that is important, I also have a Geforce 4 4200 MSI 64MB card.

Thanks,
Royce

FSB is the only way to do it, so you will need to go into the BIOS and move the FSB up by 2 or 3MHz at a time always rebooting in between each step to see if the system is staying stable. Once the system shows signs of in stability, try upping the Vcore (CPU core voltage) just a little from default (which I think is 1.50v for that CPU) and then see if it helped the stability. If it did, then you have got it! If it did not, then back the FSB down a couple of MHz and try agian. Each system is going to respond a little diferently depending on the RAM and mobo and CPU.

GO SLOW AND TAKE YOUR TIME! It's too nice a job to rush. 8)
