somewhat disapointing,
the best i was able to achieve seems to be:
12.5x/180=2250 1.75v (only need slowest fan setting for gaming 3100rpm)
ram 7 3 3 2.5cas 2.77v
i think the culprit is power supply because only 15.0a on the 12v rail.
flashed my 9700np bios and it's still pretty good oc and rock stable.

well i know this may be pathetic but i got a mates p100 o\c'd to run at a speed of 200mhz with no probs. I only had to adjust the jumper settings on the board didn't even touch the bios settings :)the good thing bout the olg girl is that she is running 64mg of yep u guessed it edo how cool is that.

Temps are kind of high but I believe that it is a thermal paste issue. will post more when I have the results, but so far it is rock solid!!

What kind of cooling is on that chip, and a 20c jump? That's jsut a bit too high (i usually see a 15c diff between load and idle). On a meagre 600 mhz oc, you should be at around 60c load *max*. Perhaps a new sink liek vantec aeroflow or thermalright slk800 would do you well. With that chip and board however, i do see a 800 mhz oc, anda post at 3.2 ghz, with about a 20% voltage increase for stability.

-180x14=2.53ghz 1.95v
idle @ 43c load @ 49c (now at jet engine fan speed 6250rpm)
very loud little sucker, tries to take off every now and then and i gotta
chase it around the room

my new budget setup:

Mobo: Abit BH-7
Cpu: 2.4B
Ram:512 PC3000 Kingston HyperX 2/5/2/2
Videocard: Saphire 9500np softmod to 9700
Cooling Watercooled by Maze3(putting this one back on my Albatron board soon)/Neomoses Gpu/ Chevette heatercore/2 Panaflo pushing and pulling on homemade shrouds and a rio2100 pump

running her @3.1 w/20% voltage stable as a rock and temps are at idle:35 and load: 40-42 (summertime in L.A. sux). working on the benchs

Image it looks messy but i recently cleared up the clutter. :)

Pretty good man, but you should put the rad up against the front of the cas, and mod the front panel to hold that 120. As to your temps, what version on the BH7 bios do you use, and are you aware that it reports temps 10c too high on old models, 5c too high on new ones? (Researched). Good job on the speed, but it is not possible for this board to hit 3.1 on a stock bios. The FSB cap is 250 MHZ, and with your CPU that means a maximum of 3000 mhz.

i wanted too run the push/pull effect cuz some ppl say it knocks down 2-4 degrees off there temps that way

im running the bios 14 and i just checked on abit website and there seems to be a new bios out.

Indeed it does, but your clock score is impossible. WCPUID it - the max you should be able to hit on a normal bios is 3 ghz (12x250). As to the push-pull effect it does help.
