Yuppers..

Thanks for that..Yes thats the correct picture, sorry for the typo..lol

So thats it, I havent tired to see if I could go higher?? AMD's white pages state that the XP's Athlons have a max. core voltage of 1.85, so I don't think Im going to push it too far...:D

Cheers

NF

Teehee, Well of course you have the watercooling to help

I love my NF7 Board, nice ability to tweak settings, thats why I chose it.

Do you think with a Tt Volcano 11+ running at 4800 rpms I could go higher on the FSB??

Thanks

NF

Sure you can. As to me, i don't run an AXP - i've seen it done though. I'm just runnin a 2.0 northwood at 2.66, 44c full load - and 1.775v to boot.

Nice one Tutatin,

I think I have found the sweet spot...I build systems and repair old ones too...

Im just test driving out my first AXP, I once had a Pent. III 500Mhz but now I use it as a server, stocked it up with 4 80 GB hard drives and networked it with my others.

Thanks for the info... keep it coolin!

actually, you may be able to take that chip further. back the multipler down to 11x, fsb to 200. Then try 11.5. Then stop at 12x if you can keep it stable there, under 1.9v, and under 50c, you're in the nice zone.

I'll give it a try..

That would be like having a 3200+ AXP in the machine...sweet..LOL

Well Im off to test...wish this new system luck..;)

Okay Im back...

Well I had to keep the CPU FSB/DRAM RATIO to SPD because Kingston Memory is soo dang fussy...

Anyways, I backed down the FSB to 202 and raised the multiplier to 11.5 and still get the 2.32Ghz results...

Thats fine for me... I can handle that with the performance gain :D It just would not go over 11.5 with a FSB of 202.

I also used a new tool I just found called; UAMDTool v2.0a

Image

You can rotate the dials to see what type of performance you might get at a certain setting...

See ya around

NF
