Got RAM in dual-channel mode. Not sure of the brands, but they seem to talk to one another. 4*256MB, 2 of which are PC2100, 2 are PC2700.
300W PSU.

Use only DDR400 (PC-3200) memory sticks and you will see more speed already.

This board's bios does not allow overclocking.

Hmmm.

TBH, I accidentally grabbed PC2100(DDR266), mixing them with PC2700(DDR333). Thought that 266=2700. :oops:
(at least they were free, and i can return them)

So, that puts me at US$ :o 104

Most expensive upgrade yet.

going from 1GB to 3GB total will do that to your budget, yes. If you stay at 1GB it will be 2x18 +2 = $38...
