What from the following is most recomended to trust the most in terms of actual cpu temp. Riva seems to be off a good 8 degrees from the other two. I'm thinking it's actually reading the mb temperature.

The BIOS is the most accurate reading, and even then it can be + or - 10 degC out... You always have this issue when a hardware device meets software.. If manufacturers opted for accuracy on that, motherboards would cost a lot more... All the software probes in windows have to take their readings from the same hardware as the BIOS, couple that with stuff running in the background and you increase the inaccuracy.. Best bet for accurate temp. readings is to use hardware devices with hardware reading, ie a dedicated thermometer...
