Virus help

Postby nuke » Sat Feb 26, 2005 9:57 am

My Norton Anti virus picked up a virus called Download.Trojan. It said it was deleted well I closed it and it keeps poping back up saying I have the same virus. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of it!

Thanks,
Preston

It could be hiding in system restore - turn it off, then run software again.

Have you disabled system restore and ran the removal tool in SAFE MODE?

Also run adware and spybot....

When I do everything you told me to the Norton antivirus does not find the virus. What else is there to do?

sorry, I'm a bit confused now.

When I do everything you told me to the Norton antivirus does not find the virus

you've followed the symantec removal instructions in the link?

now you run Norton antivirus and it doesn't find it?

(obviously that could mean you killed it :-)

Umm, what happens if you start your system in normal mode?

And are you sure you're not looking at an old report?
