Microsoft Anti-Spyware incompatible with Windows 2000 Pro?

Postby mr newbie » Wed Feb 16, 2005 2:22 pm

Tried installing it on two IBM T20 ThinkPads running 2000 Pro. Each time, install triggers a restart that gets locked up in boot doing a "Drive Check". I have to F8 into safe mode to remove the application so the laptops will boot normally to Windows. Anybody else run into this problem?

On a side note, one of the lappys I just converted over to Windows XP yesterday and the conflict with Anti-Spyware is gone.

I think you have to be a "registered XP user" to use the anti-spyware.

Ahhh  So it is only meant to work on XP.
