What is the difference between a personal firewall and a hardware firewall?

a hardware firewall is programed into a chip and then placed into a peice of hardware like a router, a personal firewal is software load on to your pc

Also note that you can run a hardware and a software firewall at the same time, but not 2 software firewalls.

Business's tend to use hardware to block somethings because a savy employee could shutdown a software firewall easily.
