strip those off, reinstall IE6, reinstall one of them that seems the least phishy...

That's what I had to do to get rid of it.Had Kaspersky turned off and forgot to restart it, wifey was looking at vacation rentals and picked the scumware up.It is a very nasty one indeed.

Nasty isn't the word for it.

Needless to say? Couple of weeks ago the hard drive suffered "Fatal Death Syndrome". He didn't want to wait for me to work on it to replace the the system sat in a repair shop for two weeks LOL..waiting for the Sr. Tech to return for the repairs. (It would have taken under a week for me to purchase and install a new drive from the 'egg)

His lack of understanding for correct safeguards will again knock his computer out of whack. Just a matter of time.
