£30 because it's ex-display, missing a 5.25" blanker and the lock is broken. All minor things i don't notice

how much did that set you back ?
$3200 CDN - including taxes.
BW...It seems like almost half of that money was just in the monitors alone...fair to say or no?

No this is not including the monitors. They were $400 each.

They are really nice cases, perfact for water cooling or if you have a ton of HD's. The HD rack in the rear where I now have a radiator holds up to 9 HD's............... 8O

I've recently made some additions to my system, replaced the X850 Crossfire setup with a x18000XT 512MB, and the Audigy with a X-Fi

The story of my new build...

It started out a little sketchy. Several of the exact parts I wanted were either difficult to find in Japan, or very expensive. I eventually ended up with just about everything I wanted for a pretty reasonable price, but it took a lot of searching, and there were a few glitches along the way. I ordered the case, waited a bit because it was on back order, then ordered the rest of the parts:
Abit KN9 Ultra
Athlon X2 3800
Corsair XMS 512X2 for now
XFX 7600GT
Coolermaster Realpower 450
Mitsumi cardreader/floppy
Maxtor 300Gb SATA
19"W LCD
threw in a Pioneer burner I had in an external cage for my laptop

The case was even later than expected, took about a month to get to me. Almost cancelled and ordered somewhere else, but they kept apologizing and promised it would arrive in a few days. Finally arrived, set everything up (there are so many wires on the case front panel I have no idea where they all go, and I don`t have enough mobo headers even if I did know). Fired it up, booted fine. Great! Had some stability trouble, random lockups all over the place... been reading about trouble with AM2 boards, so I was really worried I had a lemon. Turned out the memory voltage was detected incorrectly just slightly. If you have an Abit AM2 board, make sure that you set all your RAM settings manually even on the first boot. Everything has been running REALLY well since.

The new trouble is with the LCD on the front panel. It suddenly stopped working. Well, it works, but it looks like it`s trying to display all the possible characters at one time, making it totally unreadable. I really didn`t want to wait for the company I used to get around to replacing it because it took so long in the first place. I was totally prepared to just live with it like that, when I sent a kind of impromptu email to the case manufacturer. They got back to me right away (in English no less!) with some possible solutions (which didn`t work) and then they said to just take off the front panel and send it to them collect, and they`ll send me another one! So that pretty much made this an overall happy experience so far. :D

ssamurai26, Have you given any thought to setting up a Raid array in order to use your fantastic internet connection?

PS: because I don't have any pictures right now, I'm just going to post my system specifications right here:
Ati x1900gt
Pentium D 805 (2.66ghz overclocked to 3.4ghz)
1.5 GB memory (1x512mb, 1x1024mb) DDR2 533 cas 4
BioStar intel motherboard (I'm not sure of the chipset)
80gb IDE 133 primary hard drive,
Xion Green case,
550 watt Rosewill PSU
2 120mm LED green case fans,
and whatever else I forgot

Edit: I will be updating this as I upgrade things in my computer

People who have gone through Starfleet academy should be taught how to fix everything. Even a Roman aqueduct.

I haven`t really thought about it because I was under the impression that it wouldn`t make a big difference in performance. Do you think it would make any difference at all? The experiment I tried was transferring large files with my friend (also 100M FTTH) from both my laptop and my desktop. The laptop has a 5400RPM ide drive in it, and the desktop has a 7200RPM drive SATA. The difference in transfer speed was negligible and may have had more to do with the different LAN cards. In both cases the maximum limit of the connection didn`t reach anywhere near theoretical maximums, but multiple connections were possible at similar speeds. If anyone thinks it would make a big enough difference to justify the cost, I`ll go ahead and do it.
