Norman Borlaug, the father of the Green Revolution, died Sunday at the
age of 95. It is estimated that the work of him and his cohorts saved over
1 billion lives with their work on wheat hybrids in the late 50,s and early 60's
When I was growing up in the late 50's and 60's, I was always told by my parents to eat all the food on my plate; There are starving children in China and India who would be glad to have it. Thanks to Borlaug this is a sad and distant memory. Thanks Norman.
