I saw this Systemax infomercial last night.

Right now this is the fastest computer available anywhere. With the AMD XP processor that was designed for the new Windows operating system that is faster than any other available processor such as the Pentium 3, Celeron, or the new Pentium 4s. This machine comes with 256MB of DDR random access memory. It has the GeForce 32MB graphics card for unrivaled 3D performance. Dual USB ports....

and it went on like this for a half hour. It also came with a speaker system, a 17" monitor, some hunk-a-junk all in one Lexmark copier/scanner/printer/fax machine, supposedly $1500 in (useless)software, 40Gig HD...all for the low,low price of $1599 (the last price before I turned it off).

Here's another thing I remember from the infomercial:
Systemax has just become the number 5 computer retailer. With a deal like this they will be number 1 in no time.

I don't know why I posted this, I guess I just thought it was amusing and I am bored right now.

Sadly, they will probably make a ton of money off the idiots who haven't got a clue as to what the specs really mean, and have no idea about the current tech. They are lying through their teeth, but unless alot of people complain about it, nothing will be done.

Remember those IBM commercials?

"Do you really want a clone?"

$999 dollars. You can bet it had some crap in there...
