NEW egg screwed up

Postby datektrader21 » Mon May 20, 2002 2:46 pm

Well, I got my motherboard from newegg today and they apparently messed up the order. Instead of an MSI k7t266 PRO2 like the invoice on the box says, I got an ASUS A7V333 does that not just suck I guess I will send it back  and hope that they will send my MSI board out.

If you can't tell by now I am being sarcastic--I am gonna keep the board as I hear it rules. :D once again newegg comes through.

Well they are not exactly in the same league. The Asus board supports DDR333, where as it does not look like the MSI board can. I think the max type is PC2100 for the MSI Board

you may want to wait until tomorrow when our review of the asus comes out. from what I hear it is not too shabby.

Oh you bastard, you're ripping of NewEgg! You should notify them that you got the wrong board and thereafter send it back in your good will and pay the extra shipping. What did NewEgg do to you? Don't get so high and mighty on them, datek, they put their trust in you to have the conscious to return the wrong order--and here you are ripping off everybody's favorite online retailer. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Actually the more likely senario is that Newegg was out of MSI motherboards and sent the Asus version in its place. I have seen it before.

The cost to ship it back and ship the new board would be a waste of money and would be more costly in the long run. :?

GOT MY NEW XP1600 the asus board still does not want to boot up it just keeps repeating "system fail CPU test" guess i will send it back  however my dragon board is running fine, but winxp seems to dislike going back to the older board i get a blue screen before i even get into windows. win98 runs fine so i guess i will use that until i figure out the asus board or get a new one.
