The difference between the P4 and the new Celeron? 50% less L2....

Based on the Willamette Core (First Generation P4-Socket 478 Core)

Litterally Squashes the Duron in mosts tests, and is at the same price.

Nice move, Intel! I wonder how the upcoming Duron 1.4ghz is going to stack up? I would never buy a Duron, nor a celeron though, as even at Intel's budget price of 83 dollars, I could get an AMD XP1700

Durons are pretty good. The 1Ghz versions have made Office PCs easy to build.
But they are phasing out the design in favour of the Athlon.

I happen to like the Durons myself. Damn reliable and extremely easy to overclock. I have a 1.0GHz that I boosted to 1.32GHz and it crunches numbers 24/7 without fail. 8)
