There was intense solar activity on our Sun a few days ago.. and now the energy will pass by our Earth, in a high magnitude.
There may be disruptions of satellite communications, and other forms of communication.. plus some sensitive electronics may act weirdly. Electric power delivery infrastructure may also be affected.
But also, the Aurora Borealis should be prominent from the energy striking Earth's ionic shields.
For some people with exceptionally sensitive skin, it may be best to stay indoors.

There was another massive solar flare on June 22 and June 23, 2015. Intense Northern Lights were noted across most of the Northern Hemisphere. Even the ISS had stunning views of the colorful electromagnetic storm effects. But hopefully, the ISS has sufficient shielding to protect the astronauts. No reports of serious malfunctions with satellite communications or power networks. Our atmosphere and magnetic field do help protect life, but high exposure can cause permanent harm.
