There was a massive coronal ejection (sun spot) recently. It peaked on Sept. 11, and those lucky enough to live far North or South may witness some rare Aurora Borealis or Aurora Australis on Sept. 12.

Video was taken at Lockheed Martin Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory.

There may be some severe interference with satellite communications.. and other electronic gear.
