A friend of mine found this little golden gem.

Tells you what your unknown devices are.

you need the txt file contained in the zip - its the library of devices

Try the above....saved my behind more than I can tell you.
ONLY problem is it automatically desk tops an add page...now isnt that conveinant!
I use it for what I need then remove it from the system.

Just noticed this. Now THAT is cool and veeeery useful, all of the references. I am going to have fun with these.

Will give it a look, thanks should make it handier also anyone heard of "driver max" it backs up all your drivers and is free, their is a paid version but you can restore them from device manger and point towards the folder it created.
I just use it to before a reinstall. :D
