 :? Hmm -on my Windows XP unit with a Pentium4 cpu Northwood -2.1 ghz 512 Sdram --IBM NETVISTA MOBO--have a potential problem.

Using the App "Speccy" iam gettina a Reading of 26degrees Celsius on the cPU -sometimes going up to 38 degrees!!!!!!

Would this be sort of aproblem????

my cpu Fan NEVER seems to turn On in this Machine/Mobo.

That baby is running cool. 35°C is equal to 95°F. Maybe the data load is light, or the fan is very efficient.
Typical operating temperature is around 50°C, maybe 55°C. Possible the app is not reading the thermal diode right.
But then, the Celeron and Northwood CPU models don't run as warm as a Prescott.

Absolutely Cool, It must be around 50 degrees, get some cpu sensors utility and keep running for some time when U play some game, watch a video or convert some video to other format, then look at the record to see if it becomes hotter

absolute limit for that CPU is about 70 degrees Celcius. Nothing to worry about indeed.
