Congrats!, but I told U in my post

"...when U press the start button it did nothing, then unplug the power button conector from the board and briefly shortcircuit the two pins where the power button was conected, if nothing happens the culprit isn´t the power button (once upon a time, I spend a few days "troubleshooting" a board until i realized that the PWR button were not working!)..."

and U dismissed the advice

A normal person wouldn't be so embarrassed by such a silly mistake, but I have been in electronics since 1956 when I got my first Ham License at the age of 14. I have been essentially a troubleshooter in various times since then. I am now 74 and after all that time you would think that I would look for the simple things. Sheesh...

The more complicated a device or process, the less likely we are to look for a simple cause for problems!
Yes, we all are guilty of that.
Best method to do trouble-shooting is to divide the issue in half.. and where the problem is, divide that in half.
I have also been into computers for more than 30 years. Seen just about all!

because of that the first trobleshooting question always is:

did U plug the device in the power oulet?

I´m with computers since 1983, more tha 30 years too

Jim, been there, done that, more than once. trust me, all of the regulars in here too, no matter if they want to confess or not. It's good you found the culprit after all.
