Well? What does that mean? Should I allow those changes? Are those safe?

Sorry, but I'm new to all this Tablet / App stuff. I'm learning as I go.

I don't own a cellphone, or plan to. So I don't need those comparisons. :)

Updating an OS on any type of computer, tablet or smart phone may mean registration and activation hassles. And maybe a lot of updates! Only when the present OS version is considered 'obsolete' should you update it. But the browser does need updates now and then, due to security issues. There are a plethora of add-ons and apps for browsers.. but choose only those needed.
I would be wary of any notices to upgrade an OS or browser unless from the original source. Too many hackers and scammers out there. Some unknown app or feature wants to install? Check its worthiness first!

Well it's Google Play that doesn't work. I get a message like "this browser is no longer supported". :( :?

"this browser is no longer supported".
There should be a tool bar at the top of the page for the browser. Check the "about" tab for possible updates, if not up to par.
But could be that the browser version itself is no longer accepted at Web sites. If so, then a newer or other version would be needed that is compatible to the OS type. The device's provider may offer a browser option that is acceptable.

That's part of the problem. When I try to update or even download another browser IE: Chrome, FireFox, I can't

Is what the site tells me. :(

The manufacturers website doesn't even list this model on its site. :(

Can you get on the Mozilla, Amazon or Android site? Should be able to download an installer for a compatible browser.
If not, then use another PC and download a browser suitable for tablet use to a USB fob. Use that for installation.
Having different features creates a different model of a base design. Hopefully, the 'heart and soul' of your tablet is near identical to some other models, and can accept a newer browser type.
