Hello, i have the same board and i flashed the bios without any warnings and i ended with EZ Flash asking for a floppy disk or cd with a p5s800vm.rom inside. My mistake was that i did not saved a backup of my old bios and now i cant find the correct rom file for it. My old version was 0107. Cant find it in web ... Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

The mainboard was bought 3 years ago from a friend and he doesbt remember the system model. Tried with some bioses but... The bios is accepting the rom and the message is - "Write memory, goes to 100% and telling me to remove the disk and reboot the system" and after that again ez flash looking for the rom. Sorry for my bad english

This sounds like the checksum is not matching after the flash, it sounds like the actual chip may have died. You are using the NEC rom image for this? Because the Asus might be different enough to cause ez-flash to trip.

Definetely a PackardBell/NEC OEM board by the name of Santiago2. Asus bios versions start at 1001, this is a known version of PB/NEC (0106), latest version is 0216 which can be found here:

Try the one evasive recommended on the first page. Download still works.
